Sibren is the custodian of about 100 rooms he calls his home.
He lives antikraak (anti-squat) in a former mental health clinic.
Anti-squat buildings are usually administered by companies which rent out those makeshift living spaces for a relatively low price. In accordance with Dutch law this follows the logic of having selected people living in deserted buildings should prevent them from being squatted. The tenants have the right to stay only until the building will be used for a new purpose or torn down to make space for something else.
